Lifeguard & Swim Lesson Supervisor - City of Selkirk

The City of Selkirk is currently in search of a Lifeguard & Swim Instructor Supervisor to join our team. Recreation Programmer - Niverville Community Resource & Recreation Centre 

Niverville Community Resource & Recreation Centre (CRRC) is seeking a 6-month term Recreation Programmer to join their team. The Recreation Programmer will facilitate the delivery of public recreation programming to assist and enhance recreational opportunities for the community of Niverville. In collaboration with Town officials and community interest groups, the Programmer will be responsible for recreation programming, scheduling and promotion, volunteer development, facilitating resource sharing, enhancing existing facility use, research and preparation of grant applications. The Recreation Programmer will oversee the day-to-day operations within the administration room including the supervision of Recreation Campus Staff.

Niverville Community Resource & Recreation Centre (CRRC) is seeking a part-time Campus Staff Supervisor to join their team. The Recreation Shift Supervisor will be a first point of contact for Campus staff in the Recreation Department during the scheduled working hours, orientate & train new staff, complete the daily deposits, provide guidance and feedback, and provide input on programs/develop programs. Recreation Shift Supervisor will attend to visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone, email or in person, provide information regarding the facility, take payments for rentals, memberships, and programs.

Building Servicer 2 - Arena / Outdoor Pool Attendant - City of Winnipeg

The Building Servicer 2 Arena / Outdoor Pool Attendant position is a semiskilled manual labour position within an ice arena environment in the Winter season and in an aquatic environment in the Summer season. Work of this class involves a high degree of customer interaction, strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and within a team to meet the operational needs in a single arena/pool facility.

The Building Servicer 2 (Arena Attendant) provides quality customer service to a wide variety of arena facility users by performing a variety of duties that include the operating and maintaining of ice maintenance equipment, performing custodial work related to all aspects of the arena activities, operating and maintaining various types of tools and completing reports and records as required. In the Summer season the Building Servicer 2 (Outdoor Pools) will be responsible for maintaining the City of Winnipeg outdoor pools. They will perform a variety of duties that include the operating and repair of equipment, maintaining water quality, performing custodial work related to all aspects of the building’s activities, operating and maintaining various types of tools and completing reports and records as required, maintaining building and inventory of same, assisting in the training of employees and responding to customer service requests.

Pool Operator - Active Living Centre

Under general supervision, the Pool Operator (certified) is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the indoor swimming pool, sauna, washrooms, shower rooms and locker rooms. The Pool Operator is responsible for the maintenance of pool water and maintaining pool chemical supply logs. The Pool Operator is responsible for changing burned out light bulbs and fluorescent light tubes, reporting of malfunctioning lighting systems and equipment.

Pool Operator cleans pool deck, inside of pool and bulk head during annual maintenance shut down. Performs routine and annual maintenance on filtration system. Cleans and maintains lifeguard offices, pool deck, bulkhead, gutters and bleachers daily.

Must possess a Pool Operator License.

Facility Coordinator - Town of Beausejour 

Under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Incumbent is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of recreation and leisure services. This position is responsible for maintaining community leisure programs within Town facilities. The incumbent must be a self-starter and work closely with community groups and independent recreation-based community organizations. The work requires the employee to exercise judgment, initiative and creativity. The nature of the work requires a significant degree of independence while dealing with multiple programing and event requests. The incumbent shall ensure that their duties are carried out in an effective, efficient and safe manner in relation to themselves and fellow employees.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) and may require the incumbent to work increased hours on evenings and weekends as required. Due to the nature of the position flex time and/or averaging agreements may be put in place. Attendance at meetings outside of regular working hours, training and workshops may be required.

This a one (1) year term position, tentatively from March 2023 to April 2024.

Leisure Services Programmer (Part Time) - Rural Municipality of La Broquerie

The Rural Municipality of St. Clements is looking for a Communications Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and personable, with great communication skills.

The Communications Officer is responsible for outgoing public communications, including website and social media management, email blasts, event promotion, advertising, communications planning, media releases, public education, graphic design, internal and external newsletters, photography, speechwriting, report writing and data analysis, PowerPoint presentations, developing and managing public engagement, serving as tourism point person including participation in local destination marketing organizations.
